Process

I was interviewed for a position on the TrialPay team in San Francisco. The first round was a 30-minute tech screen with the hiring manager, followed by a one-hour HackerRank assessment. The next round consisted of two one-hour Skype video technical interviews with two engineers from the team.

They don't conduct onsite interviews but do have three Skype video interviews. I had three video Skype interviews: one with the hiring manager and two with senior engineers on the team, each lasting an hour. The recruiter informed me that the feedback was positive and that the next step was a one-hour interview with the VP, which would be the final one. The interview with the VP went well, and he mentioned that they would get back to me soon.

I reached out to the recruiter to check on any feedback, and he stated he would let me know soon. It has been two weeks since my interview with the VP, and despite trying to reach the recruiter, I have been completely ghosted.

Here is advice for the recruitment team at Visa:

You have every right to reject a candidate if the team does not like them, but after a candidate has spent eight hours interviewing with you, it is basic courtesy to reply and inform them of the status.

I am sorry to say this, but this is highly unprofessional on Visa's part.
