Software Engineer Interview Experience - Foster City, California

Process

I interviewed with Visa in December 2017 for a New College graduate position. The interview process was very unprofessional. I was initially contacted by a recruiter, passed the initial coding test, and completed the phone interview. After waiting for a response and following up multiple times, I did not hear back from the recruiter. Subsequently, another recruiter approached me, and I had to retake the initial coding test. The hiring process at the company seems null and uncoordinated. After speaking with the second recruiter, I reached the final onsite interview. The engineers scheduled for the interviews were unavailable, even though they knew they had interviews scheduled. The team manager was randomly requesting team members to conduct interviews. The interviewers were unprepared, which I personally feel really affected my selection process, even though I was well prepared.

I was quite confident about my selection as I was able to answer all the questions, but I ultimately received a rejection within one week. I feel that no feedback was taken, and they simply sent a rejection because they did not even know who conducted the interviews.
