Software Engineer New Grad Interview Experience - Foster City, California

January 1, 2015

Process

I started by speaking with a recruiter who asked about my interests and some basic HR questions. They then scheduled a technical phone interview with the director of the engineering department.

During the technical phone interview, which lasted for an hour, I was first asked some behavioral questions, followed by two technical questions and some brain teasers.

After this round, I was sent an online test that had six questions. Four of these were multiple-choice, and two were coding problems.

Later, I was called for an onsite interview at their Foster City office. This interview had three rounds, but only one was technical. This was because upon arrival, I was informed that I would be interviewing for a testing position rather than an SDE position.

Questions

Client-Server model, Abstract classes, How web works, Testing techniques, and many situational questions.
