Process

The first round was a 30-minute technical phone interview. It was fun to go through the questions with the interviewer, especially because he hinted at the answers whenever I got stuck.

I was asked basic data structure and algorithm questions. For example:

  • How would you design a random number generation function?
  • What data structure would you use to store the web pages visited by a user as they click the forward and back buttons in the browser?

Just try to think as logically as possible!

The second round was a HackerRank challenge with three questions. I could solve only two, and I was rejected after this.

Questions

What data structure would you use to store the web pages visited by a user as he clicks on the forward and back buttons in the browser?
