Software Engineer Interview Experience - San Diego, California

Process

I had a 30-minute interview on campus.

It was hard to engage with the interviewer because he seemed very tired and unwilling to interview. It was difficult to understand him even face to face, as he mumbled his questions.

I understand that he may have been fatigued from interviewing, but his body language was poor, making his exhaustion or annoyance very clear. It seemed as if he didn't even want to be there.

This detracted from the entire interview experience.

Questions

  • Walk through resume
  • Some questions about trees, graphs, and strings
  • Tested my familiarity with Java
  • OOP concepts
