Staff Software Engineer Interview Experience - India

Process

This was a very bad process.

One fine day, I received an email from Visa about a HackerRank test, without any prior call. I took the test and waited a week for a response.

Two months later, I received a call stating that I had cleared the online test and they wanted to schedule an in-person interview. I agreed and attended the interview, which consisted of four rounds. I was sent home afterward.

Ten days later, I received another call that the director would have a telephonic discussion. I agreed to that as well. Somehow, that call did not happen. Then, twenty days later, I received an email asking me to come to the office again for a face-to-face interview. I went there again and had a discussion. They said they would let me know.

I waited for three and a half months. After following up again, they sent me an email stating they had found a better match. In total, the process took around seven months. Horrible people.
