I worked there as an Oracle consultant for 2 years. It's a good environment; people are friendly and knowledgeable. I was able to design and develop a lot of new code to improve their system. My efforts were appreciated and supported by my immediate team (Database Engineering) and by a team of Java developers who used my code.
It takes a lot of time to get something done by infrastructure teams: get access to Unix servers, get space added, or change database parameters. The relationship between SysAdmin and DBA teams is not clear, and it seems the relationship is not clear to the respective team members themselves.
Phone interview, followed by a face-to-face interview. Technical discussion of previous projects. Description of the team's current challenges. Discussion of the pros and cons of different approaches in design and code.
The interview consisted of the following rounds: * **Technical telephonic Singapore round 1:** All basic questions were asked. * **Technical telephonic US round 2:** Scenario and configuration-based questions were asked. * **Online HackerRank
I applied online. Applied online through Visa's careers site for a new grad software engineering role. Received an automated invitation to complete a timed online assessment on HackerRank within a set window after applying. No recruiter phone screen
