First, a recruiter contacted me about the position. Second, I completed a skill test mainly covering C and C++ regular questions. Third, I participated in a video-group/panel interview, again focused on programming skills. Fourth, I took psychometric tests on December 19, 2013, which took me almost four hours. Fifth, there was another group/panel interview held at the Walmart building, which once again involved basic questions about my programming skills. Sixth, I had a group/panel interview with Walmart Human Resources, also at the Walmart building, where the questions focused on my personality. Lastly, I was scheduled for another phone interview on January 21, 2014, with people from Walmart Bentonville. However, one day before the interview, the recruiter called to inform me that my psychometric test from December 19, 2013, indicated I scored low in an area related to working in groups, according to Walmart.
I was really disappointed about the process. First, why did they wait for a month to tell me about the psychometric test results? They basically wasted my time for a month. This process could have been completed in at most three interviews. Walmart is very inefficient. In general, the people were nice, but the recruiter was kind of pushy.
