I walked in and talked with the Store Manager about open positions.

I originally declined a role because it didn't align with my interests. However, a role opened up before I left the store, and I was immediately called by the People Lead.

I sat down with her, discussed my management background and leadership style, and was offered the position an hour after the interview.
