I received a call from a recruiter and was invited for the first round of interviews at the office. It focused on problem-solving and data structures.
The interviewer seemed uninterested in conducting the interview; instead, he appeared to want to showcase his own skills. He opened GeeksforGeeks on his laptop and presented two questions: one on mathematical programming and another on dynamic programming.
While I was attempting the mathematical programming problem, instead of offering hints, he solved it himself in his notebook, referencing the solution from GeeksforGeeks. Once he finished, he showed me his solution and said, "This is how you solve it." He then asked me to move on to the dynamic programming question.
I was able to solve the dynamic programming question, but I couldn't convince him of my reasoning for using that approach. He was unwilling to listen and only wanted me to explain it according to his own understanding.
Overall, it was a pathetic experience. I did not expect this from Walmart.
