Senior iOS Developer Interview Experience - Canada

Process

The interview felt literally scripted. The hiring managers didn’t seem to know what they were looking for or talking about.

As a senior iOS Developer with over six years of experience, I don’t expect, nor should I be asked, junior-level questions like “Name an app you have released” after I just told you I’ve made seven-plus apps that are global.

Furthermore, the interviewer had their phone not on silent, and I could hear clicking and clanking sounds in the background. They seemed busy and not fully engaged.

This is a careless company, as usual, maintaining its reputation as "Walmart." Don't expect anything different when hiring.

I hung up on them due to a lack of professionalism.

Walmart, you need an entire reboot in every department, or at the very least, know who you're talking to and what role it is.

Also, the salary was cheap, as expected from a cheap company.

Stay away.
