Senior Software Engineer Interview Experience - Reston, Virginia

December 1, 2018
Negative ExperienceNo Offer

Process

I was contacted by a recruiter.

A few days later, I went on-site. The questions were focused on my skills and general software development concepts.

I was then given a problem for which I wrote code on a whiteboard for the interviewer. My answers were correct.

Following that, I was invited for the next round and assigned a homework project to present.

I finished with the best possible solution, considering code quality and tests.

I presented the solution in the next round to a group of three technical individuals. I was challenged on some aspects of my algorithm during the presentation, which I addressed and provided solutions for.

I met later with the senior manager and director, and we had a good conversation.

After I left, I never heard back from the recruiter, not even with a "No" answer.
