WORST EXPERIENCE
My interview experience was extremely disappointing. The interviewer was late, and immediately stated they hadn't had time to review my resume. It was disheartening to begin the interview knowing my application hadn't been looked at beforehand.
To worsen matters, the interviewer made a baseless accusation during the interview, claiming I was cheating because I wasn't looking directly at them while typing my code. I explained that I was focusing on typing, which naturally shifts my gaze from their face. However, they insisted I was likely looking at another browser tab for assistance.
I had my whiteboard prepared and offered to write the full code on it, with the camera capturing a wider angle to confirm my independent thought process. I suggested this twice, but the interviewer did not accept my offer and reiterated their unfounded allegations. It seemed they were not open to any solution other than their predetermined expectation.
If trust is a concern, Walmart has the capability to implement technology to track browser activity during interviews. However, making baseless allegations is offensive and unethical. This was the worst experience I've ever had. Consequently, I withdrew other applications I had pending with Walmart.
