Staff Engineer Interview Experience - Bengaluru, Karnataka

Process

I have not faced many interviews in my career; rather, I would say I have not had to face too many.

This was the most pathetic and unprofessional interview experience I have ever had.

I would like to highlight a few points on the interview experience:

  • The interviewer was not technically sound enough in my area of expertise (IBM BPM).
  • They scheduled the interview for an IBM BPM position, but the interviewer did not ask a single question from IBM BPM.
  • Time was wasted by gossiping, such as discussing how we belong to the same state, studied at the same university, or worked at the same company for a while.
  • Irrelevant questions were asked, like, "Have you worked on this/that?" or "Do you know that person from a previous organization?"
  • I also heard that the interviewer worked on IBM BPM for only 1-2 years and does not have a team, trying to build competency for IBM BPM which they themselves lack.

So, I would not recommend this company at all.
