Cons: There is a huge amount of variance in developer quality across organizations. Accordingly, there is also a huge amount of variance in engineering leadership, level of maturity, and guidance. Some organizations are innovating, while some organizations are developing applications using the same tech stack as they were in 2010. Work-life balance is horrendous due to relying on H1B visas for all work. They will accept any conditions, as they will be deported if they are fired. Since they accept this treatment, US citizens must also accept inhumane 60, 80, or even 100-hour work weeks.

Pros: A variety of technologies and frameworks to work with. The platforms are very good. Good principles set by Mr. Walton, and I hope all managers practice them.

Cons: Some teams do not have work-life balance.
