I had quite a few friends and liked my job a decent amount for a while.
They cut over 1000 hours and refused to give me my only available hours I could work, which was 10-7. Instead, they tried to keep putting me on 6-3, 9-3, 8-2, and stuff like that. They had my hours cut so much and moved around so much I couldn't keep dealing with it, when they were told more than 6 times I could only work 10-7s.
Please get better with who you hire to do the scheduling.
The interview process for me was fairly simple, in my opinion. It involved only one phone interview and, if selected to continue after the initial call, one in-person interview.
One phone call. The interviewer asked me a couple of questions about myself and my involvement. The interviewer then asked me why I wanted to work at Walmart. I ended up being hired after the phone call and started pretty close to that date.
I walked into HR and asked for a job. It was given to me on the same day. If you're lucky, the interview can be booked pretty quickly. Overall, the interview isn't too harsh and is very basic.
