Great coworkers. Easy enough job. Relatively lax late policy.
Terrible store management. Rampant favoritism. Policies that weren't enforced before suddenly become enforced at a whim, from person to person.
Store 5226 in San Antonio, TX is a good store, but store management is terrible. The store manager does not understand her own policies. Do not overwrite Walmart policy or state law.
The Front End Manager contacted me by phone and asked a few questions. I did not know beforehand about the phone interview, if it can be called that. After I answered, a job offer was made.
The interview involved a basic setup where the interviewer asked about my availability and any prior experience I had with customer service or similar roles. Since Walmart hires frequently, I obtained the position fairly quickly.
They will call you first to explain what areas they need you to cover. Then, they will send you an email about the position you applied for and discuss the offer they will make.
