Good part-time gig because hourly is nice for a college student.
Nasty customers, micro-managing management, unorganized management, unprioritized management, rude management. Management was shady, since they'd purposefully mess with your hours so you couldn't get paid overtime or so you wouldn't get enough to complete the 40 hours. If you did, then you would qualify for higher rates of PTO.
For example, if you were part-time, you would get ten minutes of PTO for every 7-10 hours worked (I don't remember exactly). But as full-time, you would get an hour for every 7-10 hours worked.
Stop being so corrupt and actually prioritize your workers.
The interview involved a basic setup where the interviewer asked about my availability and any prior experience I had with customer service or similar roles. Since Walmart hires frequently, I obtained the position fairly quickly.
It was very easy and straightforward. They didn’t ask much, mainly focusing on what they want from you and how you can fit that role. Most times, it’s only one person interviewing. The interview is in person and lasts less than 30 minutes.
I walked into HR and asked for a job. It was given to me on the same day. If you're lucky, the interview can be booked pretty quickly. Overall, the interview isn't too harsh and is very basic.
