In this particular location, safety is a little scary. Such a busy store with a lot of homeless in the area that find their way in to use the restrooms and barricade themselves in there.
My particular manager could have had more empathy. After being assaulted at the job late at night, she could have been more understanding of the situation to accommodate my want to work in the morning. Instead, she insisted that it was a part of my job and that I'd need to get over the fear to perform my duties.
