Although free lunch was provided by many companies, Walmart's lunch is a step ahead from others with a wide variety of options.
They also provide non-veg everyday. But, the food quality has degraded a lot since the time I joined; I don't know whether they are monitoring it or not.
The second thing I like the most are the in-house pantries for each floor. They are always stocked up with food, drinks, etc. We even have an Xbox in the pantry as well.
In summary, anything related to food is good at Walmart.
Those are pros, I would say.
First of all, after spending time at Walmart, I understood that the work experience you get is highly dependent on the team you are joining. Unfortunately, I landed in a very bad team, and my experience was very bad.
All the things related to work for me were bad.
There was partiality shown to some people, people's efforts were not recognized, the rewards system was never clear (rewards were always given to people who buttered up the manager), and to add to it all, the managers were the worst. They don't know what the team members are doing; there's no clarity on the roadmap for the future. I was under 3 managers during my tenure. Out of these 3, only the last manager was decent enough. The first 2 were horrible, I should say. The less I talk about this work, the better it is.
And coming to policies, the HR team says they have innovated policies for the COVID situation and all, but in reality, all they have done is add a small clause to the existing ones.
I will give you an example. There was a fitness reimbursement policy of 1500/pm initially when I joined. They converted it to 18000/py (you can use as much as you can, but it is limited to 18k per year) and called it innovated. All they have done is lift the monthly limit.
Now, after COVID WFH situation, they said that we can buy a computer chair and all, but in reality, that was again included in the fitness reimbursement. So, fitness + chair is 18k per year. How funny it is. It is obvious that nobody is going to the gym during COVID. They just adjusted that amount to the chair and called it innovative. There are many like this.
So, in short, anything related to work or policies was horrible for me.
No matter what advice we give to management, they won't change.

HR will schedule your interview. I do not know the exact process because I attended the first round only. 1. Data structures and algorithms 2. LLD/HLD 3. Managerial 4. HR Please do not waste employees' time.
