None that I can think of at the moment. Just a place where I would get a paycheck. I met some of my closest friends there... that is all.
Meetings that take up development time. Higher-up people have no sense or idea of technology; they are all too business-sided. The culture is more trying to "beat" Amazon rather than being innovative and being its own company. Vendors have more say and power in projects than actual associates. There is no transparency at all with managers and directors. Work was not simulating, and constant changes and really no guidance impeded a lot of development. People were readily willing to blame rather than accept fault.
Promote an environment that doesn't involve trying to beat the competition, but rather encourages creativity and innovation. Promote people who are more technically savvy. Invest more in associate learning rather than investing in vendors to do the entire project.
Direct outreach from Engineering Managers to the interview. I did not apply via the portal nor reached out to any recruiter. They scheduled the first round of interviews. The agenda was not entirely clear, but overall it was a good experience.
Initially, a recruiter called and set up an interview with a panel of two. On the day of the interview, they revealed it would be partly a support position. The questions covered the basics of Java, Spring Boot, Linux, and SQL.
Good, simple interview. Total 2 rounds: Round 1: Home assessment. Round 2: Skype or face-to-face. Home assessment: Multiple-choice questions with a time limit. You must pass this to proceed to the next round. Then, there is another interview roun
