Process

Everyone was very friendly.

  1. 30-Minute Recruiter Call - they were very interested why I was interested in Wealthfront specifically, if I used it, and how familiar I was with the product.
  2. 45-Minute Hiring Manager Call - describe a time you disagreed with your manager; the experience I have with being on-call.
  3. 1-Hour Live Coderpad Exercise in React - no behavioral questions - code out a percentage (interest rate) validator with an input field - make sure to leave time for questions at the end.

Questions

  • Use className, onChange, and value attributes on the React component.
  • Show/hide the error message depending on if the input is valid.
  • Use a regex to validate that characters are just numbers and the '%' character.
  • Use a state hook to manage the interest rate value.
