Senior Software Engineer Interview Experience - United States

Process

I had a horrible interview experience with them. They should learn to value others' time.

TL;DR - They ask you to leave if you don't clear the first round onsite. Don't take a full day PTO.

Scheduling the interview was easy, and the technical phone screen was a breeze. They told me to expect four rounds of interviews.

The first round was an analytical module. I had to program on a laptop provided by them while an engineer took notes on how I was programming. It was a medium question. I solved the question for a few test cases, not all.

Everything went well so far. Then, the manager, Rohan, walked in and told me I did not clear the analytical module. So, I had to leave immediately. That was very disrespectful. I wish they had informed me that this was their process beforehand. I would not have taken a full day PTO and traveled so far on Caltrain to take the interview. I would be wary of such companies which do not respect other people's time.
