Software Engineering Interview Experience - Redwood City, California

Process

Very efficient, really wanted to keep the momentum going as the hiring process moved along. Everyone was friendly and resourceful.

First step was a phone screen with a recruiter who will ask about experience and then high-level Java questions (specific to the language).

Next is a technical phone screen on Coderpad.

From there, they will invite you onsite, which involves:

  • A coding portion (Java using an IDE)
  • Whiteboarding (more algorithmic, no concrete code)
  • Then they might ask you to do a cultural interview where you will speak with two more of their engineers about Wealthfront and your experience.

Questions

Know your Java and review standard algorithm questions and techniques (DP, etc.).
