Process

I applied online and was contacted by a hiring manager for a phone call.

She asked questions about my familiarity with Java and the SDLC. One of the questions they also asked was, "What questions should we ask you?" I said my strengths and weaknesses.

After our conversation, she said that she felt comfortable sending me for a second interview.

I asked her how I could prepare for the second interview, and she told me it was just going to be behavioral questions. I asked if there would be technical questions, and she said no.

During the second interview, they asked behavioral questions like, "Tell me about a time you took initiative," and, "Tell me about a challenge you faced at work."

After the behavioral interview, they then said, "Now we're going to ask technical questions," which I was completely unprepared for.

It wasn't a hard interview; I was just unprepared.
