Old-fashioned bureaucrats
Software Engineering • Current Employee
Phoenix, Arizona, United States
August 19, 2018
Pros: Good work-life balance and good benefits. 25 days of time off after 3 years of service.
Cons: Since the start of their cybersecurity kick about 3 years ago, my division has been on a downward trajectory and far more stressful.
Everything is harder to do and requires an “Office Space” level of redundant process to accomplish.
Management continues to believe that all employees, regardless of job function, are exactly the same. They then criticize staff for not doing work due to a lack of access to systems that developers no longer have access to.
