Good Organization; left looking for career change
Technology Manager • Former Employee

Pros: Having been at Wells for 13 years, I was in a nice working group. I did have the opportunity to work in different areas in the bank.
Cons: There was a limit on the ability to learn new technologies. Recent changes in senior management have diminished the ownership that individual teams used to feel.

Great place to hide if you like not having to work
Technology Manager • Former Employee
September 4, 2008
Pros: Decent benefits.
* 5 weeks PTO and cash pension plan.
* Decent team member banking preferences.
High name recognition / branding (everyone knows who Wells Fargo is).
For every quality employee, there is one poor employee. Wells Fargo can be a great place to hide behind meetings and bureaucracy if you prefer not to work.
Cons: An exceptionally poor place to be a top performer or a change agent. It is highly tactical, high process, regulation, and paperwork with little productivity and innovation. It is slow to change despite evidence and sound reasons to do so.

Cons: A large organization makes changes that require a lot of red tape.
