Good upfront salary and decent benefits.
Hypocrisy, incompetent management, insufficient software structure, complete lack of direction, and the list goes on. Unreasonable expectations, sloppy assignment planning, and a constant battle with people who are too lazy to do anything but deflect blame set you up to fail. This is a common experience.
Clean house. There are some decent people at the worker level, but not at management. If you're not afraid to ask questions, you will quickly see that there are people in management that are only there because they are "yes" men/women, not because they are good at their jobs or managing people. Quit just reorganizing or restructuring personnel and figure out how to practice what you preach. Honestly, the worst major employer I've ever worked for.
One 1-hour interview with behavioral and technical components. Instant offer within 30 minutes. Easy process. Contract-to-hire position. The hiring process took 3 days. Four interviewers were present along with two managers. Short and sweet.
First, a pre-screen call with the recruiter. Next, a 1-hour interview with a few seniors and a VP. About a month after the interview, I was told I was declined. They asked a number of technical questions.
4 rounds: 1. Telephonic 2. On-site coding 3. General interview 4. HR round of interview. Then you can expect to get the call from the recruiter. No direct hiring. 18-month contract, and then it depends on them to make it full-time.
