Pros

Many smart and talented people work at the company.

Cons

One constant theme observed was management's refusal to listen to advice or opinions of their technical staff members before making what amounted to many very poor decisions that could have easily been avoided.

Advice to Management

Lead by example. Give your most valuable assets, your employees, the respect and dignity they deserve, and they will do the same. Show your team that you care, are part of the team, and value their input. Don't assume you know everything. You do not. Arrogance and managing people through fear and doubt does not make you a leader, only a tyrant.

Get out of the way and let people do their job. They are professionals and have been for a long time. Do what is right for the company first and foremost, political ambitions second. Know that a great leader will bring out the best in people, and it will show in everything they do.
