"We Wells Fargo employees got raises (not much)."
I was just informed that Wells Fargo gave everyone too much money when they did raises. Their solution is to take it back.
They have proven they can give and pay an appropriate wage, and now they are taking it back while simultaneously giving the CEO a 20% pay increase.
After my raise, and for the last two pay cycles, my hourly rate has been $23.75. Now that they are going to lower it, I will be at $22.75. I'm in TX; this is not enough to live off of.
If Wells Fargo can afford to give a 20% increase to the CEO, then why not do the same for the employees?
If, on average, an employee gets 6-12% (and I'm being generous), then the CEO should get the same.
If Wells Fargo wants to obtain and retain a happy workforce, then the CEO should not be getting to live like a king while everyone else is fighting to survive.
