Pros

Learned some new processes, but not much far from industry standards.

Cons

Very rude management; they are always micromanaging.

My manager asked me about my away status on the instant messenger, and he was keeping track of all the breaks I took. This is in spite of me over-delivering on the work front.

They are paranoid about remote workers, and I wonder how a worker cannot take a break for some time for lunch, etc.

My manager always confronts me on these topics and then laughs it off, so that we don't take it seriously and raise an alarm.

Senior management takes the contractors as daily labor/disposable.

Advice to Management

Get out there and learn some manners and ethics.

Learn how to communicate with subordinates, no matter which role you are in. Learn to respect people.

Learn how to value consultants/contractors and the talent that they bring in.

Make leaders only people who have leadership skills, not anybody who has been there for a long time. Know the difference between a leader and an SME.
