Pros

I have been with WF group of institutions for more than 10 years now, and the review is based on my experience.

  • Great place to work, although the systems are legacy systems.
  • You can come across smart, intelligent people, albeit only a few.
  • Good benefits.
Cons
  • Silly micromanagement is the name of the game, especially at St. Louis Park, MN.

  • There is an email chain for every other silly reason. You feel like you are in a kindergarten rather than a professional company.

  • Most of the leads look dazed and confused.

  • Egoistic attitudes of the leads, which sets a dangerous precedence for consultants. Leads feel as if consultants steal their thunder. QA leads act as if the whole company is under them.

  • Healthy advice to leads is ignored since it hurts them to listen to junior members of the team, and again, their ego takes the best of them.

  • While FTEs work from home quite frequently (read: more frequently), they feel insecure if consultants do the same. The worst part is they do not follow their own rules when it comes to work.

  • The worst part is you butter up someone and you are made the lead, even if you have zero work knowledge.

Advice to Management

Please conduct an anonymous review of all FTEs to know who is who. We are so annoyed to work with the FTEs, especially the QA leads, since they act as if the whole of WF belongs to them. We, the consultants, are made to feel insecure and as if we are servants rather than professional employees.

Please conduct a thorough review of all FTEs.

Make a general rule for FTEs and contractors regarding how much WFH is allowed each week and stick to it!
