Good work-life balance. Nice benefits. Great culture. 5 days WFH per month (pre-COVID).
Too many changes in the organization and management recently.
Lately, cost cutting has started by removing most of the benefits.
QA roles are slowly being decommissioned.
When I joined in 2018, I always felt like I was working for my dream company. There was so much to learn, and a lot of fun in terms of team activities like movies, marathons, team outings, and family days – what not!
But slowly, most of them were being decommissioned, partly or fully, maybe as part of cost-cutting.
Then started the organizational restructuring (QA manager layoffs) as part of the company going fully agile. Even QA resources who were already in an engineering role (automation) were asked to skill up by enrolling in the QART program in order to move into development.
There was a constant fear from 2021 that QA roles might also be decommissioned sooner or later.
Many people left the organization due to all these changes, including myself.
Advice to Management: Changes in company policies or management should make a good company better, but not the other way around. It is really not possible to remove the complete QA process from any company.
Also, QA resources with automation skills are already in an engineering role. Generalizing both automation and functional QA as just QA is incorrect. You failed to value your resources.
First round: Telephonic technical round. Second: Face-to-face technical. Third round: Managerial round. Fourth round: HR. I cleared all the rounds, but suddenly HR told me the position was on hold after a week. Why do you people take interviews and
It was structured, mostly based out of what you have furnished on your CV. The first round of the interview was a telephonic discussion (technical). The second round was a video conference call (management). Just refresh the basics and know your CV
2 technical rounds, 1 managerial round. Interview difficulty is average. HRs are responsible and involve in regular interaction. Few teams might have an interview with the stateside team.
