Process

I applied online in September for a position in their Pleasanton office and was contacted by the recruiter inviting me to interview. I was invited to Pleasanton, CA for the interview, and the travel coordinator contacted me to make the arrangements.

Their process is screwy. You have to make your own travel arrangements while adhering to their strict rules. Then you must get approval before making the flight arrangements. They get back to you days later, and the price has already gone up.

When you arrive in San Francisco, you must take the BART to their offices; they do not pick you up. It is a hassle, to say the least. Then you have to walk about a mile to the hotel.

In the morning, you need to find your own way to their offices, but they do not reimburse you. Once there, they take you to a meeting room to discuss the day and schedule. Then you are put in a room and interviewed for 4 hours straight, nonstop. Many different people come in and out of the room to interview you. The tech test was about object modeling and logic; nothing too difficult. You also meet with the recruiter again.

They feed you lunch and discuss benefits, except they don't give you any concrete information about them. They say they will let you know the benefits in your offer. After that, they show you their product for the 4th or 5th time in the same day. Then they hold an informal social with other employees. Then they let you go. You have to find your own way to the BART station; most of us walked.

I was told they would contact me by phone no more than 2 weeks later. They promised that they would contact each person whether they got the job or not. I was told that they were going to make me an offer and that they wanted to hire me. It has been a month, and I have not heard back. I even emailed the recruiter a couple of times to follow up, but they do not respond.

Very unprofessional, if you ask me. Apparently, after reading this site, it is typical of them to do this. To me, this is an indication of the caliber of people at the company. I would not work for this kind of company.
