Applications Development Engineer Interview Experience - Dublin, Ireland

March 31, 2018
Negative ExperienceNo Offer

Process

30 min phone screening 60 min tech interview (system design in UML) 2.5 hours of on-site interviews

Very friendly interviewers. However, it took them four hours of interviewing to make an evaluation that could have come from reading my CV alone. I feel that my time was wasted in this instance.

Having a background covering enterprise development, finance development, operations research, and machine learning, I can't think of a company where I am a better fit than Workday. But that all counted against me. The key feedback was that they were concerned I'd transfer (internally) away from the role I was interviewing for, to a team that works in one of those other areas of interest.
