Engineer Interview Experience - United States

Process

This was a phone screen, likely given by someone new to conducting phone interviews. Within ten seconds of the call starting, the interviewer launched into a list of questions. Most of these questions were incredibly easy. However, the range of topics left me wondering what position I was actually applying for, as some questions had no relevance to the job description.

While the interviewer was nice enough, there was no engagement or personality. The call ended almost as abruptly as it began. It was a very bizarre interaction, and I was OK with not moving the process along.
