It was for a returnship position. I had an interview only with the hiring manager. The hiring manager explained everything to me very nicely. However, my experience didn't match the requirements, so I was rejected.

I was asked if I was interested in this position and got the phone interview in the same week. Two lead developers from that team called me and asked a few technical questions, covering core Java, JMS, XML, SOAP, REST, and other web technologies.

The interview process was hassle-free. The interviewer made me feel comfortable. The recruiter first contacted me, described the entire interview process, made everything clear, and also told me what would be asked in the interview.
