Pros

ICs are great and try to uphold the remainder of the culture that used to exist here. Expect to work day to day with some really fantastic people.

Cons

Management is horrendous. There is no transparency, a blame culture for shifting priorities, and a revolving door of middle management that leaves churn for ICs to pick up the pieces. WLB is out the window.

First, it was talk to your team about return to office. Then, it was this hybrid work model. Now, it's sit here from 9-5, three days a week, and we monitor that you do so. I can only imagine what it is like for folks with kids. It is not flexible at all.

Stock incentive for total comp is out the window unless you work in PLS. The new goal-setting strategy for management is glorified micromanagement. Toxic politics lead to a revolving door of middle management without room for internal promotion.

The new CEO is a VC bro just milking every last drop of cash. DEI is out the window and it shows at the leadership and team level.

Advice to Management

You have an overwhelmed group of talented IC's. Rethink your flexible work model to actually be flexible. Bring the culture you used to champion back into the office. Please stop hiring externally for every manager position when you have homegrown talent who can do it. Stop becoming the competition, or you will lose what made this place a great place to work.
