Principal Software Engineer Interview Experience - Bengaluru, India

Process

The interview process began with a first-round telephone call, which was a general discussion with some easy technical questions. Afterward, I was informed there would be another telephone round. It was scheduled, but then the HR representative called to say there would be no more telephone rounds and that the next step would be a direct face-to-face interview, scheduled for the very next day.

During the face-to-face interview, I went through three technical rounds, and after each one, I was asked to wait. Following the third round, the HR representative approached me and stated that the Hiring Manager would speak with me and accompany me to lunch, where the discussion would take place. I waited for almost 1.5 hours, but no one arrived. It was nearly 3:00 PM, and I finally called HR. He informed me that the Hiring Manager would speak with me in the evening as he was busy and that I could leave for the day. However, I am still waiting for his call.

There was a complete lack of professionalism in the process; they treated candidates as if they were dogs. After conducting interviews from 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM continuously, they did not even have the courtesy to offer tea or coffee, not even water.
