I was referred to an opening, and the hiring recruiter reached out to me. I had two phone screens and was then invited for an onsite interview. The onsite interview lasted for five hours (five rounds). A few days after the interview, the hiring recruiter contacted me and informed me that I did well, the team liked me, and they would like to offer me the position. I was asked not to accept any other offers.
I was told that they would submit it for a hiring committee review. I was also informed that there should be no issue with the hiring committee, as the team liked me and it was just a nominal process. I did not hear back from them for a few weeks. I followed up and was told that it was still in review.
Several weeks later, I again reached out and was told that the position had been filled and that they were trying to open a new position for me so that they could submit it to the hiring committee. I have not heard back from them, and it has been three weeks. I tried reaching out to the hiring recruiter, but they are not responding to my emails. It was a really bad experience.
