Software Engineer Interview Experience - Champaign, Illinois

Process

I was recruited through my university and first had a phone interview, which consisted of basic OOP questions and my experiences.

A week later, I was brought on-site for five 1:1 interviews.

  • The first was just getting to know the company hierarchy.
  • The second was reverse engineering; programming errors were provided, and solutions had to be found.
  • The third was algorithm and logic-based.
  • The fourth was OS design and problem-solving.
  • The last one was SQL.

Overall, it was pretty heavy on the technical side, with a 10-minute break.
