Pros: It's hard to forget about all the free food that was floating around Yahoo! As an intern, I had my breakfast and lunch at the company for free and would occasionally stay late enough to have dinner there too (though the dinner was pretty limited compared to the other meals). I also got a free card to use with the buses and trains around the Bay Area, which was very helpful. Yahoo! also has a lot of wonderful self-growth classes that you can take, ranging from intro-level mobile development courses to more advanced topics.

Cons: There were way too many meetings when I was there. At one meeting, I (wrongly) just started using my computer. I was most convinced that I could never survive in a corporation with so many meetings. As an intern, I was also not given very challenging problems. This was a huge disappointment for me.

Pros: Colleagues are friendly and willing to help. Pressure is low.

Cons: Pay is not as high as FLG.

Pros: Good environment with smart people, and you get to work on large-scale problems and issues that have never been seen before.

Cons: The company lacks focus and direction; it is unknown what the future holds. It seems to be putting more value on content than creation.
