A frustrating interview experience occurred because the questions were nonstandard. I didn't get a single data structure or algorithm question. This would be fair if I were several years into my industry career and acquainted with such topics, but I'm still in college and don't necessarily possess that domain knowledge yet. The interviewer was nice enough, but it was simply a bad fit for the time being.
The rejection email was an automated message, which left a bad impression. It's a courtesy to thank a candidate for interviewing with a company.
