At times, too much over-engineering and poor architectural decisions were made by architects who have not touched code in years.
There was too little autonomy in engineering teams.
There was too much politics and a lack of long-term vision due to performance reviews and people wanting to work on the latest (failing) new and shiny thing (because of quarterly reviews).
Go to business school, or at least take some basic classes in leadership, etc. The latest PR and bad media say it all. Trying to treat employees as kids doesn't work.
Waste of time. 4-hour work sample plus 6 hours of interviews. No discussion of the work sample or feedback on it was provided. The technical interviewers were not friendly or collaborative and spoke poor English.
