Try to avoid if you have another offer
- Pay is decent, but there is no annual increase unless you get a promotion.
- Most engineers are knowledgeable and approachable.
- Free food, but you have to line up for 30 minutes at least to get food.
- Too many reorgs. Shuffling resources every three months. I had 3 managers during 8 months there.
- Too many layoffs. People just disappear for no reason.
- Managers suck! They are the ones who should be let go of. They make terrible decisions and all they do is to push you and make Yahoo a sweatshop.
- Products suck. Who the heck is still using Yahoo? The CEO tries to sugarcoat bad things and brainwash the employees as much as possible.
Let go of all the managers. If you are not looking for another opportunity while working at Yahoo, you are screwing yourself up. No kidding!
You never know what will happen when you walk into the office the next day.
Be prepared, hombres!
