Process

The interview process was quite tedious and long, with diverse sections.

I appreciated the opportunity to meet almost all team members before I joined. The interviews were long enough for small talk, which helped me a lot in determining if the team was a good fit for me. Most sections challenged my engineering expertise.

There was one platform interview, which was a screening interview. It assessed my skills in Swift and other platform-agnostic areas.

Another platform interview focused mainly on iOS platform concepts and its various tools for rendering content. Towards the end of that interview, I was asked about other areas of the Apple SDK. I believe these questions aimed to gauge the breadth of my expertise but were strictly optional.

There was one algorithms and data structures interview, which was quite easy to pass, containing mostly easy-level problems.

One architectural section, which resembled a system design interview for a mobile engineer, wasn't overly complex but required knowledge of common software design terms.

Finally, there was a "meet the team" interview, a conversation with the team lead, which served as my last chance to decline the offer.
