I received a phone call from an HR manager at Yandex. She offered me the opportunity to consider joining Yandex as a C++ software engineer. We did not discuss an exact position at that time.
The interview process consists of a screen interview, 4 technical interviews, and a final interview.
I had already attempted to get through their interview process before, so she offered to skip the screen interview, which consists of one task. I then completed 4 technical interviews, each consisting of 2 tasks.
All technical interviews were conducted online. They were all coding and algorithms interviews. There was no system design interview, unlike at Google. There was also no leadership interview.
I successfully passed the 4 interviews and was invited for the final interview with the Yandex Browser team. I was not interested in joining the Yandex Browser team and declined the offer. Subsequently, I was offered to consider a position in another team. I was also not interested in joining this particular team and declined again. They did not offer any other positions.
