There are a lot of internal tools that need to be understood. However, these tools are usually much better than tools adopted in the industry.
I was contacted by a Yandex recruiter and invited for an online test with basic questions. After passing the online test, I was invited to an on-site interview with coding questions on a whiteboard.
The interview consisted of four parts: A telephone call with HR and three coding interviews (medium LeetCode). I passed two interviews, but the last one was difficult. The reasons were two hard LeetCode problems.
The interview was purely algorithmic. The interviewee knew them worse than I did. It's really strange that the company puts people like that to interview interns. I really suggest going straight for a junior job and not getting stuck as an intern.
