- Sane processes borrowed from Western companies and adapted to the local reality (more often successfully than not)
- Reasonably good salary
- Still has no success in becoming an international company.
- Moscow-based.
- Moscow-centered (could we please have one-third of a team in Vladivostok to support on-call? Not sure if this changed in 2021, but this was not possible in 2019).
- No luck with retaining talent. The best and the brightest enter Yandex as interns, grow there, and by the point when they are not only smart but also professionals, leave for Google, Microsoft, or whatever, unless pathologically incapable of learning to speak English or have some other major issues.
