Cons: They do silent layoffs that are not upfront or honest at all, sacrificing their employees' mental health to avoid disclosing to the world that they are actually doing layoffs. To do the silent layoff, they will put you on a "coaching plan," which is really just a PIP where it doesn’t matter if you do everything that they asked and more. They will find reasons and skew things to create a paper trail on why you will be being let go, setting employees up for failure and severe hits to mental health where no matter what you do, you are never good enough. Long-time Yelp managers can be great, but external hire managers, in my experience, were terrible.
